Description

Coconut leaves are vastly used in Sri lanka for thatching roofs. It was a major roofing in past but has been desplaced with other modern products like roofing sheets. Leaves in roofing, eakle in brooms and tender leaves in many decorations and handy crafts are used. Skilled people sit on the ground to weave these dried leaves and earn their living. Well experienced only can weave them to keep the rain water away and they take no time to weave them.
